May: Month End Review.

Note: 5.5 minutes/kilometer is 5:30 (not 5:50).
As you can see the longer the distance the fast pace I was running. I hope to get this pace down to 4.5 at some point in the not too far off future.

Notes: There is something about High Park that I just don't like ... I think its the long hill at the end of the route and at the 4Km point. Today I was feeling a little under the weather, but still made it out for a training run. I was a little disappointed with the result (time) but can live with it. This will be my last training run before the big race on Sunday. Hopefully I can break 50 minutes then!

Notes: Today I ran my first 10Km route and finished in great shape. I was able to run the entire route without stopping for a rest and was very happy with my time. This was a great warmup for the RunTO 10K.

Notes: I did it. I came in under 44 minutes this week in Markham/Unionville. It was a hard faught push to the finish line but was satisfying once I got in. At one point I took a wrong turn (following the guy in front of me) and ended up run through some residence area and finally through some forest to get back on track.

Notes: High Park changed their route this week to being 2 laps of the park. This included on decline hill which was VERY steep and not very good on the knees. It was an exusting run, but was good to get out. Also picked up my RunTO race kit on the way back home.

Notes: After another full week of not running (because of blister issues), I got myself back on track. Today I was EXTREMELY tight in the legs after playing 3 games of Ultimate Frisbee the day before. However, I faught through the tightness and finished the run without a single rest, which I was very happy about. Now if I could only break 44 minutes!

Notes: After a week off because of my foot injury I thought I give the 8K another try; this time in the Beaches. My time was ok and the new shoes were better too (Nike Shox SFM), but I did walk for about 1 minutes during the run, maybe next run I can go all the way.
